Fruit Cobbler

Cream together,
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
Add
1/2 c. milk
Sift together and add
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
Spread mixture in greased loaf tin or casserole.  Drain juice from a can of
berries (boysenberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries or peaches). 
Spoon berries over mixture.  Pour 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar over berries.  Pour juice
from berries over sugar.  Bake 45 to 60 min. in 375 degree oven.  Serve with
cream or whipped cream.  The berries will sink to the bottom as the crust
rises.
